Condolences of the Custody on the Death of Cardinal Daoud
The Custody expresses its condolences on the death of Cardinal Ignace Moussa I Daoud, Syrian Patriarch Emeritus of Antioch and Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches.
The testimony of his life spent in the service of the Church will always be an example to follow, a source of strength to draw on in difficult times.
The friars of the Custody share the sorrow of the Syrian Catholic Church and Cardinal Daoud's family.
The Catholic Ordinaries extend an invitation to Holy Mass celebrated by His Excellency Mgr. Grégoire Pierre MELKI and the funeral prayers pronounced by His Beatitude Mgr. Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem
