The last day of the Custodial Chapter started with the celebration of the Eucharist and the Lauds prayer presided by the new Vicar of the Custody, fr. Ibrahim Faltas, who entrusted his new service to the Lord.
 
The General Assembly opened at 9.00 a.m. with the prayer and reading of St Francis’s Admonition XXVIII; the friars then continued with voting on the proposals prepared by the relevant Commission; lastly, the Final Document was read out and approved.After the morning session, the capitular friars went to the Terra Sancta School (Jerusalem) for the blessing of the new science laboratory. 

In the afternoon, the closure of the Chapter was celebrated with a moment of prayer and reflection. This last day came to an end with the adoration of the Eucharist and the prayer of Vespers in St Saviour’s church, and the fraternal dinner. 
On 15 July, the capitular friars will go to the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre for the solemn concelebration of the Eucharist with which the 2022 Custodial Chapter will effectively be concluded.
