The fifth day of the Custodial Chapter opened with the celebration of the Eucharist and Lauds prayers presided by fr.Samhar Ishak. 

At 9.00 a.m., the Capitular friars met in the Immaculate Hall for the opening of the first morning session with the consultative vote for the election of the Vicar and the Discretes of the Holy Land.
Fr. Rodrigo Machado Soares then read a communication on the activities of the Secretariat for the Holy Places, while fr. Stéphane Milovitch presented the activities of the Department of the Cultural Heritage of the Custody of the Holy Land.
At 4.00  p.m. the friars prayed along the Via Crucis in the streets of Jerusalem; following that, at 5.30 p.m., they gathered into their different work groups to discuss the subjects concerning the care of the Holy Places. 

The day ended with the prayer of Vespers and a fraternal dinner.
