ORGAN RECITAL

Over the next four Thursdays of October at 6:00 p.m., Saint Saviour Church in Jerusalem will see the sixth edition of the Organ Recitals organized by the Magnificat Institute of the Custody of the Holy Land. Admission is free. Opening the series on October 10th is Maestro Gian Vito Tannoia, who teaches Organ Accompaniment and Gregorian Chant at Italy’s Matera Conservatory. On the 17th, an Israeli musician with Russian roots, Alexander Kellarev, a student of Fra Armando Pierucci, will perform. The third concert, on October 24th, will feature the Englishman Charles Cole, Deputy Organist at Westminster Cathedral and director of the Scola Cantorum of the London Oratory School. Closing the series is a Palestinian with Armenian roots, Maestro Haig Aram Vosguerichtian, Titular Organist at the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth and teacher at the Magnificat Institute, who also produced the series.
