On 2nd November, the Church remembers and commemorates its dead. The Latin parish of Jerusalem was united in the celebration of the Eucharist and in the visit to the cemeteries on Mount Sion.
Holy Mass, in Arabic and Italian, was celebrated in the Church of St. Saviour by the parish priest Father Feras Hejazin and accompanied by songs by the friars of St. Saviour and the assembly.
After Mass, there was a procession - preceded by the “kawas” – that, with songs and prayers, reached Jaffa Gate, and then the three cemeteries of Mount Sion, passing through the Armenian quarter. In the blessing and incensation of the tombs, Father Feras was assisted by the deacons John Araujo and Tymoteusz Marszalek.
A similar celebration was also held in the Basilica and in the cemetery of Gethsemane.
