On the Monday after Easter Sunday, called "in Albis", tradition has it that the Christian Catholic communities of the Holy Land go on a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Emmaus - Qubeibeh, to recall the Gospel episode of the Disciples of Emmaus (Luke 24,13-35).
A very particular celebration takes place on this day. After the Solemn Pontifical Mass, presided by the M. R. P. Custos, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, some baskets of bread, which will be distributed to the faithful, are blessed.
