Fifth International Day of Intercession for Peace in the Holy Land

The 28th of January, 2013

The word "Peace" can be found in the whole Gospel: an eternal news in the lives of men for all times. Peace is the main theme that starts with the birth of Jesus Christ, who reveals its message to God's beloved humanity: Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men, whom He loves. A royal gift, a fruit of justice that has its roots in the acknowledgment and respect of man.

On Sunday the 27th of January, the Prayer for the Unity of Christians in the Holy Land will end.

In 3000 cities around the world, thousands of people will pray for twenty-four hours for peace and reconciliation in the Land of Jesus.

The "International Day of Intercession for Peace in the Holy Land" , has come to its fifth edition, developed from the desire of some Catholic Youth groups to promote the gift of Peace, of which, today more than ever, we feel the necessity.

In the prayer, the hope that Our Lord will grant us peace and set His eyes on our world, which is so restless and distressed.
