Fourteen works of art, commissioned from different Italian artists, are the gift offered by the Knights of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of the Veneto region to the Custody of the Holy Land.
The inaugural ceremony will be held on 21st September in Jerusalem, during the pilgrimage to the Holy Land by the group from Treviso-Martellago.
At 5.00 p.m., in the St. Francisco Room of the St. Saviour’s Monastery, Brother Silvio de La Fuente, Secretary of the Holy Land, will receive the group for a brief greeting and the screening of a film on the Custody of the Holy Land.
This will be followed by the presentation of ATS, Associazione pro Terra Sancta, by Dr. Tommaso Saltini and a brief comment by the artist Giovanni Cremonese, on the woks of the Via Crucis.
At around 6.00 p.m. they will be joined by a second group of Italian pilgrims for a meeting with Father Artemio Vitores, the Custodial Vicar, who will illustrate the history and the reality of the Custody.
At about 7.00 p.m. there will be a brief ceremony to bless the works on display in the entrance to the Curia.
