After the feast of Saint Joseph, get ready for another feast, but this time it will be shared with Christians far away, thanks to television.
In the little town of the Galilee, the Mystery of the Incarnation is venerated in a rock grotto. "Verbum caro hic factum est", "The Word became flesh here" is inscribed on the altar that stands in this holy place, already an object of veneration in the first centuries of Christianity, a holy place with one of the oldest and most certain of traditions. Today, around what has been recognized as Mary's house, where her "yes" is commemorated, stands the large Basilica of the Annunciation that is daily the pious destination of so many pilgrims from all parts of the world. They will be coming here on Sunday March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord, too, joining the local Christian community for Holy Mass, over which the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem will preside.
Also on this occasion, as they did on the feast of Mary's husband, the Franciscan Media Center will be responsible for live broadcast of the solemn celebration transmitted by the Italian channel TV2000, beginning at 10.00 a.m., Italy and Holy Land time.
